Branding AV Solutions started this year with a few new customers, including Only for Men: OFM., for their rebranding campaign in multiple stores throughout the Netherlands. Almost all of Branding AV Solutions' customers (over 90%) use Samsung hardware and MagicINFO software, while just a small portion of customers use different software that better suits their specific needs.

Branding AV Solutions works with multiple vendors in certain situations where Samsung's SSSP has certain limitations and is not the best fit for its clients. For instance, they partner with BrightSign in cases where the clients require robust audio options. Since BrightSign offers better audio features, the team would add a media player to the screen in such situations.

Another vendor they work with is Nexmosphere, which is a supplier of sensor equipment and an officially recognized partner by Samsung. However, despite working with multiple vendors, the cooperation with MagicInfo Services by ScreenCom is considered excellent compared to other suppliers/partners.

Digital signage projects

One successful example of a digital signage project that was achieved with the help of MagicInfo Services by ScreenCom is Epos a company that delivers high-end audio solutions designed for enterprise and gaming–which involved mobile screens with multiple headsets that were triggered when picked up.

Branding AV Solutions worked with Exclusive International to build the technical parts, such as stands and video walls, while MagicInfo Services by ScreenCom developed a custom-made solution to enable the sound to come through the headsets automatically and to control when one headset stops playing the content and another one starts.

The project was complex, requiring the installation of sensors to automatically trigger the content on the screen, and the addition of a mini PC with a MagicINFO I Player to enable strong audio. The solution was future-proof so that the client could change the type of source if one goes out of use, and it was made mobile so that it could be transferred from one event to another in a flight case.

Although there was an issue with the IP address changing at each event, MagicInfo Services by ScreenCom built an internal network to ensure that the IP was always the same and worked everywhere around the world without the need for extra IP adjustments. With this solution, the customer only needs to change the headset, and Branding AV Solutions can change the content while MagicInfo Services by ScreenCom makes sure that the new headset can work remotely.

Future of signage

The future of digital signage is set to become more interactive and closely integrated with e-commerce. As foot traffic, sales, and customer behavior can be measured and analyzed through digital signage, the technology will play a critical role in optimizing retail operations.

For instance, digital signage can provide information on the number of customers who entered the store and the products they showed interest in, enabling retailers to improve their inventory management and reduce operational costs.

With the emergence of sensor-based projects, digital signage will be able to deliver even more tailored and personalized content to customers. As an example, sensors can be set up to trigger content that catches a customer's attention as they pass within a certain distance. These developments in the digital signage market are exciting and will likely lead to even more innovative solutions in the future.
