MagicINFO Maintenance License

Understanding the MagicINFO Maintenance License
It is mandatory for MagicInfo Services clients with MagicINFO Premium licenses who wish to upgrade their MagicINFO environment from V6, V7, or V8 to V9. This license can only be purchased from authorized Samsung MagicINFO distributors like MagicInfo Services by ScreenCom.

When you purchase MagicINFO On-Premise licenses you can count on the professional Technical support and useful resources offered by our experienced MagicINFO experts. However, the price of a MagicINFO license does not include a version upgrade. Therefore, you need a MagicINFO Maintenance License.

NB: Please note that MagicInfo Services clients with MagicINFO Cloud or MagicINFO Lite / RM On-Premise do not require a license key to upgrade from V6, V7, or V8 to V9.

What you get:

MagicInfo Services clients with MagicINFO Premium On-Premise who want to upgrade from MagicINFO V6, V7, or V8 to MagicINFO V9 must purchase a Maintenance License for each connection in their network because the Maintenance License is linked to your Premium License Key(s).  

Performing the upgrade is not included. But you can count on us for technical support and engage our experts to perform the upgrade. Being a customer of MagicInfo Services you can count on us when it comes to Technical support and services.

Can I purchase Maintenance License directly from Samsung as a MagicINFO user?

No, MagicINFO users cannot purchase a Maintenance License directly from Samsung. Authorized distributors and resellers, like us, provide this service. Please contact our sales team if you purchased MagicINFO Premium On-Premise from us and need a Maintenance License.

 

What is included in the price of MagicINFO Premium On-Premise licenses from MagicInfo Services by ScreenCom?

When you buy MagicINFO Licenses directly via this website this includes Technical Support, Access to the Knowledge Base, and Support for past MagicINFO Versions. For upgrading from MagicINFO V6, V7, or V8 to V9 you will need  MagicINFO Maintenance License. The maintenance license only applies to MagicInfo Services clients with MagicINFO Premium On-Premise. 

 

Do I need MagicINFO Maintenance License as a MagicINFO Lite or RM On-Premise user?

No, MagicINFO Lite/ RM On-Premise users do not require a Maintenance subscription to upgrade from MagicINFO V6, V7, or V8 to V9.

Is the maintenance fee applicable to MagicINFO Cloud users?

No, MagicINFO Cloud users are not subject to the maintenance fee when upgrading from MagicINFO V6, V7, or V8 to V9.

Is performing the update included?
