MagicINFO On-Premise End of Life: End of Sale, End of Support & What's Next
MagicINFO On-Premise has a defined end-of-life timeline built around two key dates: licence sales end on 31 December 2026, and support is scheduled to continue until end of 2029. This gives existing users a clear planning window to review their current setup, assess their migration options, and move forward in a structured way, without the pressure of an immediate switch.
Not entirely. 31 December 2026 marks the end of licence sales, meaning no new MagicINFO On-Premise licences can be purchased after that date. However, support for existing installations continues through end of 2029, giving organisations time to plan and execute their migration at their own pace.
The earlier the better. While the support window runs until end of 2029, organisations managing larger estates or more complex environments should begin assessing their options now. Early planning means more time to evaluate migration paths, avoid last-minute disruption, and ensure a smooth transition for both your team and your clients.
Migration Planning and Decision-Making
The right path depends on your current setup, hardware, network requirements, internal resources, and longer-term goals, and there's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some organisations will choose to move to MagicINFO Cloud, hosted by ScreenCom Group, as an immediate bridge during the support period. Others may be ready to make a direct move to TDM Signage, ScreenCom Group's own proprietary platform, or to Samsung VXT.
That's exactly why ScreenCom Group has established a dedicated Migration Team. Rather than navigating these options alone, you'll have direct access to experts who will assess your current environment, understand your specific needs, and recommend the migration path that makes the most sense for your organisation, at no cost.
Technically, yes, but at a higher security risk as there will be no further support and updates after the end of 2029. Hence, we strongly encourage organisations to move from MagicINFO On-Premise to another solution. A good short-term option is MagicINFO Cloud hosted by ScreenCom Group while reviewing longer-term options like TDM Digital Signage and Samsung’s VXT.
MagicINFO On-Premise Migration Paths
Based on years of MagicINFO expertise and hands-on migration experience, ScreenCom Group's dedicated Migration Team has identified three clear paths forward. Organisations can move to MagicINFO Cloud hosted by ScreenCom Group, transition to TDM Signage, ScreenCom Group's own proprietary platform, or move to Samsung VXT. The right choice depends on your existing hardware, network requirements, internal resources, and longer-term signage strategy. Not sure which fits best? Our Migration Team will assess your situation and guide you to the right answer.
MagicINFO Cloud, hosted by ScreenCom Group, is the most familiar step forward for existing MagicINFO On-Premise users. It preserves the environment your team already knows while moving you to a secure, cloud-hosted setup, removing the burden of on-premises maintenance and security management. It's best suited to organisations that need immediate continuity, want minimal disruption during the transition period, and prefer to take their time planning their longer-term platform strategy.
TDM Signage is ScreenCom Group's own cloud-native digital signage platform and the recommended long-term destination for most MagicINFO On-Premise users. Built for scalability and continuous growth, TDM is developed with the MagicINFO user experience in mind, making the transition feel familiar while opening the door to a more powerful, future-ready environment. It's best suited to organisations looking for a long-term platform partner, with a scalable architecture that grows alongside their network, backed by ScreenCom Group's full migration and ongoing support.
Samsung VXT is Samsung's next-generation, cloud-native digital signage platform — and a strong migration destination for organisations that want a fully-featured, proven solution from day one. As an official Samsung VXT distributor, ScreenCom Group offers a seamless transition path to VXT, complete with our own VXT Services layer for added flexibility and dedicated support. It's best suited to organisations that want to stay within the Samsung ecosystem, require an extensive feature set immediately, or are looking to future-proof their signage infrastructure with Samsung's latest innovation.
Compatibility and Technical Review
Before a MagicINFO On-Premise Migration, organisations should review existing hardware, network requirements, network structure, and internal resources. Our experts also recommend reviewing your existing setup, operating model, and longer-term goals. These points help determine which migration path is the better fit for a specific organisation.
The short answer is no. Thus, before making a final decision, we strongly encourage you to discuss the available options with your account manager to see what would fit your existing display setup and cause minimal disruptions in your day-to-day activities.
